    Lived here for almost 20 years and we love it. It’s a great area for families with good amenities, and schools, and houses on good sized blocks. Loads of National Parks and other outdoor activities on offer. The express train gets you to Central in just over 30 minutes. Also good train connections down the North Shore line.

    As a suburb it’s a bum rap
    Lived there over 20 years I like almost nothing about it except for the road out of there
    As for being a pet friendly suburb I disagree all animals have to be leashed only one dog park available .
    Over crowded Westfield no parking high rises everywhere not very good schools in the area ; the bush loaded with mosquitos and ticks and flies ,
    The mentality right wing ; and archaic ;
    Can’t wait to leave…

    Lived for many years down in the valley area of Hornsby old mans valley
    Valley road etc ,lots of roads named after Scottish locks, sewage treatment plant stinks to high heaven in summer time dogs bark all hours of night and day due to the echo of the valley and bad neighbors avoid ,don’t make the mistake moving there also poor or no no phone reception to boot ,
