An incredibly well-taken-care-of suburb with a high level of house pride, Cherrybrook excels in both aesthetics & education while being highly peaceful, however a blend of traffic, high house prices and a slight lack of amenities mar it somewhat.

A suburb that offers some of the best transport connections in the city along with reasonably-priced apartments, Westmead is a solid choice for first home buyers but could do with a bit of a tidy up, while its detached houses are a little pricey for their quality.
Interesting, eclectic and quite expensive, Maroubra is one of the more character-rich & lively parts of the Eastern suburbs, with some excellent natural offerings – although still has some lingering crime issues and is now pretty massively expensive.
Highland Park is a quality all-rounder suburb that offers a solid balance of convenience in location and price of housing, and is highly safe to boot.

One of Sydney’s more eclectic, bustling ‘hub’ suburbs, Bondi Junction is packed with amenities & is conveniently located, but high house & unit prices and some severe traffic issues rank amongst several black marks for living here.
Dodgy no more, Palm Beach has morphed into a high-end, swanky beachfront hub of continued development while still retaining its inherent natural beauty. Shame about those prices & traffic, though.
On the fringes of Sutherland Shire, Loftus combines a small-country-town feel with roomy housing, public transport connectivity & bushland surroundings.
Eclectic suburb home to excellent amenities with an international element can cater for both the high and lower ends of town, although traffic remains one of its main red flags.
A hinterland vibe without sacrificing too much in the way of distance, Mudgeeraba has a unique character that some will find lovely & others mildly boring – but is undeniably pretty.
