Sydney’s attempt at a “miniature Silicon Valley” is clean, modern and slick – but also noisy and soulless.
Busy, amenity-heavy suburb is quite well-balanced and still represents fairly good value given its location.
Quality beachside living means “love the outdoors, or you’re wasting your money” in this pretty (and pricey) part of the Shire.
Highly interesting suburb is stacked with dining, cafes, intriguing architecture & significant public amenities – albeit with a pricetag to match, and typical Sydney traffic/parking issues.
Not too pretty on the surface but quite practical underneath, Rockdale is well-located and amenity-rich, though comes with some noise & traffic issues.
A high-density hub largely oriented around student education, Ultimo is highly centralised & largely safe, although it’s also consistently fairly crowded and you’re paying quite a lot for apartment living here.
Sydney’s “second CBD” is a quieter, cleaner option than the true centre of the city that’s a handy – if slightly boring – place to rent, with excellent public transport connectivity and enough amenities to get by.
Sydney’s hub of bohemian dining & nightlife commands an increasingly-high sticker price, and gentrification has started to deprive it of its once-unique character.
“Ersko” delivers the best of many worlds, despite its streetscape being somewhat cramped & with price having become an increasing issue over the years.
Busy central suburb offers a springboard to a lot nearby, but noise, price and traffic are all factors to bear in mind.
