The ultimate example of high-density living in Sydney taken to the extreme, Wentworth Point is a bastion of cleanliness, convenience, and compact living – which will make it a dream for some, and a nightmare for others.
An incredibly well-taken-care-of suburb with a high level of house pride, Cherrybrook excels in both aesthetics & education while being highly peaceful, however a blend of traffic, high house prices and a slight lack of amenities mar it somewhat.
A suburb that offers some of the best transport connections in the city along with reasonably-priced apartments, Westmead is a solid choice for first home buyers but could do with a bit of a tidy up, while its detached houses are a little pricey for their quality.
Interesting, eclectic and quite pricey, Maroubra is one of the more character-rich & lively parts of the Eastern suburbs, with some excellent natural offerings – although still has some lingering crime issues and is now pretty massively expensive.
Solid all-rounder suburb that’s decently-located & highly safe, but is getting up there in price for houses these days – yet represents quite good value for apartments/units.
Even after recent price spikes, Jannali still ranks as one of the best-value suburbs in Sydney in our view, considering the ratio of price to quality of life on offer.
One of Sydney’s more eclectic, bustling ‘hub’ suburbs, Bondi Junction is packed with amenities & is conveniently located, but high house & unit prices and some severe traffic issues rank amongst several black marks for living here.
On the fringes of Sutherland Shire, Loftus combines a small-country-town feel with roomy housing, public transport connectivity & bushland surroundings.
Varied suburb home to excellent amenities with an international element can cater for both the high and lower ends of town, although traffic remains one of its main red flags.
